Abstract :
Within the framework of the study of the relation between space charge and dielectric breakdown, we have decided to build a simple device to test the possibilities offered by force measurements on dielectrics. In this paper, we first describe our experimental setup and recall the principles of the action of an electric field on a dielectric. We then present and discuss the first results we have obtained
