Analysis on the new changes of American green building rating system LEED2009-NC

Abstract :
This paper made a comparison between LEED2009-NC and LEED2.2-NC from the perspective of system structure and credit weighting, and summarized the main differences between new and old versions of LEED-NC. The result shows high energy efficiency and low-carbon are the two emphasis of LEED2009-NC. The increasing weightings of sustainable site, energy and atmosphere and water efficiency are closely related to high energy efficiency and low-carbon. Meanwhile, to attract more projects into LEED-NC certification and fulfill the market transformation to sustainability, LEED2009-NC didn´t increase certification difficulty much more. Finally, the paper discussed the reference meaning to the Chinese green building rating system construction.
