Abstract
Human muscle undergoes atrophy and the percentage concentration of type-I and type-II fiber changes during aging. This paper investigates the effects of these physiologic changes during aging on computer generated muscle action potentials (CGAPs) waveforms of bicep brachii generated by computer models. CGAP metrics such as peak to peak amplitude, area under curve, rise time and mean frequency were computed during aging process. The results of this study show gradual decrease in peak to peak amplitude, area under and mean frequency and increase in rise time during aging in the selected muscle groups
