Abstract :
This paper investigates a three phase unity power factor rectifier that provides galvanic isolation, and a controllable DC output and represents a new technology for this field of application. For galvanic isolation the converter is based on three single phase converters, each a DC to DC partial series resonant converter, all connected in star on the input and in series on the output. The compound converter exhibits a high efficiency and features low EMI. A 3 kW three phase experimental converter is evaluated
