Abstract :
The seismic response of base-isolated buildings is effectively reduced, and the buildings become more flexible and enter the sensitive area of wind load. The displacement of base isolators can reach the limits with the strong wind. In this study, the dynamic wind load is substituted by the equivalent static load according to the load code for the design of building structures, and the seismic and wind performance of a twelve storey frame-shear wall building in China coastal city is analyzed. The results show that the displacement of base isolators of 8 degree earthquake fortification is comparative with 30m/s~50m/s wind velocity, and the displacement of 70m/s wind velocity exceed those of 8 degree seldomly occurred earthquake.
