Abstract :
With the appearance of tunnels in the city or downtown, residential life and building is influenced inevitably by blasting construction at the entrance of tunnel. In order to reduce the effect, the monitoring of vibration of building and surface was conducted during the construction at the entrance of tunnel. The monitoring result shows: (1) there are different vibration effects on different areas of the earth surface. Vibration velocity on the cavity is greater than that on non-cavity, which is not according to attenuation law of Sadov´s formula. (2) Vibration velocity and frequency decrease with the increase of storey on building. Therefore, probability of resonant is larger at the top storey where damage is caused. It provides the reference for similar engineering.
