Abstract :
Because of the excellent properties and wide applications on nanomaterials, recent years, researchers start to focus on the use of nanomaterials in wastewater treatment. This paper introduces the application of nano-sized ZnO in wastewater treatment. Advantages of nanomaterials and the possible antimicrobial mechanisms of nano-sized ZnO are presented in this paper. This paper concluded previous work on different wastewater treatment. By analyzing the disadvantages of using nanomaterials in wastewater treatment process, suggestions are recommended. Also, the future trend of using nanomaterials in wastewater treatment plant is also discussed in this paper.
