Abstract :
Finite element method (FEM) was used to study the electric field distribution along creepage path of a cap and pin porcelain insulator string of transmission line. The effect of pollution layer conductivity and dry band width is considered in order to investigate electric field behaviors of insulator using in polluted areas.
