Abstract :
We have precisely measured the deformation in the waveforms of optical pulses propagating in a semiconductor optical amplifier, using the cross-correlation technique. We have numerically analyzed the basic characteristics of all-optical demultiplexing based on four-wave mixing in semiconductor optical amplifiers. The optical phase-conjugate characteristics of picosecond four-wave mixing signals have been also analyzed
