Abstract :
In this paper, the source and distribution of PAHs in water is systematacially reviewed. The techniques of soxhlet extraction, liquid-liquid extraction, solid phase extraction, solid phase microextraction and turbidity extraction, liquid phase microextraction and their application in the pretreatment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons are compared in detail. Some comments on the future developments of sample pretreatment techniques are also presented.
