Abstract :
Uncontrolled intersection does not allocate the driver a clear right of way in time and space, so the left-turn vehicles will conflict with opposite direction straight vehicles and pedestrians when through the intersection. The process of left-turn vehicle passing the intersection is divided into two parts, the first part is the free turning time, and the other is the average waiting time for the gap of vehicles and pedestrians, which is derived by queuing theory. On the basis of the time the pedestrian-vehicle conflict flow is calculated, and the pedestrians risk is evaluated by it, and an example is used to text the evaluation method.
