Abstract :
Mathematical morphology which is different from traditional filtering method, becomes a new filtering method of seeking the nuances of wave shapes, and is introduced into the digital processing of seismic image. However, it isn´t widely used now due to its inherent shortcomings. Compared with mathematical morphology, multiscale morphology has a major advantage which developed in this background. It achieves filtering purpose that was added scale concept on the basis of mathematic morphology, then decomposes and reconstructs seismic volume using different structure element. The paper illustrate the fundamental theory of multiscale morphology and analyse its detailed application method in processing seismic image. The conclusions indicate that processing for seismic data in Xinjiang seismic data using multiscale morphology had gotten evident effect.
