Abstract :
A digital filtering algorithm to simulate DC-to-DC power converters is presented. This algorithm models the switches as a controller which controls the topology of the load circuit. The controller characteristic is derived from the switching criteria of the converter circuit. Depending on which switches are “on” or “off,” the controller simply provides the appropriate input source to the load circuit. This algorithm is applied to both one and two quadrant DC-to-DC converters. The simulation results based on the implementation of this algorithm are then presented
