Abstract :
The necessity and the urgency of the bridge health monitoring and damage detection are introduced here. The development of the bridge health monitoring and damage detection at home and abroad and the components of bridge health monitoring and damage system and the basic connotation of the bridge health monitoring and damage detection are introduced in the paper. Methods for bridge damage detection are classified and reviewed in detail. Finally the problems and the future of bridge health monitoring and damage are analyzed.
