Abstract :
To deal with uncertainty in the project management, a new buffer sizing approach that considers the effect of various uncertainties is proposed in critical chain scheduling. The various uncertainties are quantized, and their influences on project duration performance are computed by using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. We compare this new buffer sizing approach with some existing methods by simulation, the computational results indicate that this new buffer sizing approach is more appropriate to the real world.
