Abstract
The discharge growth in liquid dielectrics is studied by means of a simple stochastic numerical model which allows the analysis of discharge patterns in terms of static and dynamic fractal parameters. The discharge propagation is simulated by considering a growth probability law derived from energetic considerations and dependent on the local electric field. The dynamics of the discharge propagation is studied using the concept of the self-affine function
