Abstract :
This paper introduced the progress on research and applications of precast concrete shear wall structures all over the world. Experiment work was conducted on a full-scale specimen (placed in a horizontal position) to study the flexural behavior of precast concrete shear wall. The bearing capacity, load versus slip characteristic, deformation capacity, slip between FRP connector and concrete panel were discussed in detail. Based on the results of test and finite element analysis, it was found that the precast concrete sandwich wall panel exhibited relatively high flexural rigidity as well as load capacity, and could satisfy the requirements in field applications. In addition, the research work to be further investigated was also addressed.
