Abstract :
This paper includes a different approach to analyze stator winding inductances of 3phase BLDC motor having the turn-to-turn fault. BLDC motor and its drive circuit may come into flawed operating mode if stator fault occurs. Due to change in effective winding in faulty phase, the stator inductances are also changed. The abnormal behavior of shorted stator phase current due to inter-turn fault, fault current and change of values of machine parameters has been described in detail using Winding Function Approach and based on this method simulation result will be provided by using dynamic equations. Comparison between healthy and faulty BLDC motor analysis will be done and all results will be shown with different percentage of faults.
