Abstract
Use of Debye Model to analyze insulation response, recorded from high voltage power equipments, is common among researchers. Available literature shows that relaxation characteristics of dipoles present in oil and paper have different relaxation times. This implies oil and paper condition influence separate branches in Debye Model. In the present work a new aging sensitive performance parameter is introduced. The parameter can be evaluated from Transfer Function, TFD (S) of Debye Model. The performance parameter mentioned above is one of the zeros (Z1 ) of TFD (s).T he capability of Z1 as an insulation condition sensitive parameter is tested on samples constructed in the laboratory.
