            Abstract : 
We are designing REACToR, a hybrid ToR that enables scalable, high-speed networks by pairing optical circuit switching with comparatively underprovisioned packet switching. The key insight driving our work is that by moving the vast majority-but not all-of the buffering out of the switch and into end hosts, more scalable, lower-cost interconnect fabrics can be supported.
