Abstract :
Coplanar waveguide (CPW) and coplanar strip (CPS) transmission lines have become more attractive for many microwave and millimeter-wave applications. In this paper a novel frequency tunable CPW-fed CPS dipole antenna using varactors was designed and fabricated. Varactors were integrated with CPS dipoles to form integrated antennas. The CPS dipole antenna was electronically tuned by varying the varactor bias voltages. Measurements showed good results of the frequency tuning range and antenna patterns.
