Abstract
One of the most difficult tasks for analysts working in Network Operation Centres is to evaluate the impact of the loss of a given asset. This paper proposes a new technique to evaluate such a value using a simple model and computation. The resulting value for each network asset represents its contribution to the value delivery chain. This value can be used to evaluate the impact of vulnerabilities, malicious and non-malicious incidents, and is a keystone to automating risk assessment
