Abstract :
Reprogramming sensor nodes is an effective way to improve wireless sensor networks. The latest reprogramming protocols use radio communication to distribute software data. In large-scale sensor networks, several base stations are placed to disseminate software fast, but performances of reprogramming protocols for multi-base station environments have not been discussed. In this paper, we evaluate the features of software dissemination for multi-base station sensor networks. Simulations revealed that the placement and the number of base stations were the key parameters in software dissemination.
