Abstract
A new approach of input current slope control (ICSC) for single-phase switch-mode rectifiers (SMRs) is presented in this paper. An AC-switch voltage doubler SMR is proposed to fulfil the ICSC. Operation principles and control schemes for the ICSC are discussed. Characteristics of input current shape are analyzed through slopes of the input current. The simulation results of the proposed SMR under ICSC feature the lowest switching frequency and minimum current distortion
