Abstract :
Headstock is one of the most important parts in the high-speed NC center; it plays a great part in the working process of the NC center. This paper presents a method using ANSYS Workbench to analyze the Headstock, including modeling, applied load and post-process. In addition, it also refers to a comparison among different constraints to prove them as the important parts in the finite element analysis of the Headstock. Finally goal driven optimization of Headstock is carried out. By comparison the performance of Headstock is enhanced greatly.
