Abstract :
A special transformer is presented with the performances summarized in the following. The machine is designed in such a way that is never detached from the network, no matter what happens to the supplied loads and to the connecting lines. Even in case of a short circuit occurrence in one of the supplied loads it does not allow over-current arising neither in the fault load, nor in the transformer itself: the transformer can remain under short circuit condition, for an unlimited time, without any dangerous consequence. It continuously controls the status of any load, identifies the eventual fault load, excludes it from supplying and in the meantime the safe loads continue to be supplied without any trouble. It regulates the value of power flowing through itself and in this way avoids the black-out phenomena due to overload condition during energy dispatching. It maintains the three-phase voltage system always balanced and symmetric for every unbalanced condition in the loads among the phases and therefore different are the currents in the phases. It supplies the electric energy with rigorously constant voltage, even if great voltage drop occurs along the line or if the transformer is supplied by a voltage lower or higher than the rated one.
