Abstract :
The common synchronous problems in a real-time collaborative editing system are analysed and classified in this paper. The limitations of existing methods which solved the synchronous problems are discussed. In order to solve these problems, the operation conversion algorithm and document marking algorithm are studied. An operation conversion method based on conceal/resume mechanism is proposed to solve the synchronous problems in real-time editing system. The algorithm not only accords with the integrity consistency model, but also is easy to understand and more efficient.
