Abstract :
Generalized sliding discrete cosine transforms refers to computation of the Discrete Cosine Transforms (DCT) of a sequence as the sequence slides over a window function multiple sample at a time. Recursive algorithms for direct computation of generalized sliding discrete cosine transforms are proposed. The computational performance of the algorithms for both software and hardware implementation is compared with some of the known algorithms for computing discrete cosine transforms in short-time domain.
