Abstract
Concrete composite wall system is an innovated composite structure system. Tow RC coupled composite walls were tested quasi-statically under low cyclic lateral loads. The characteristics including failure modes, bearing capacity, stiffness degradation, ductility and hysteretic characteristics are investigated. It is shown that on the elastic stage, the precast slabs and frame could work together very well; in the plastic stage, the precast slabs service as bracings between the end column and ribbed column. At last, the mechanical model of the RC coupled composite walls were established.
