Abstract :
Current e-commerce Websites employ designs that are elaborate displays of product catalogs. The drawback is the presence of complex navigation and keyword searches to find products. Customers rely solely on their own decision to purchase a product. In addition, it´s difficult to distinguish online retailers from one another based on the Web-front; the identity of the Web business and the portrayal of genuineness are lost. The human and personal element seen in traditional shopping is most often not present when shopping online. This paper discusses and proposes a solution to these problems. The e-salesman system (eSS) aims to simulate the human element of traditional shopping for online sales.
