Abstract :
This paper proposes a new scheme for separation and suppression of co-channel signals in mobile satellite communication systems by using DOA-based DBF with the multiple beam antenna (MBA) array. In this scheme, the extended 2D MUSIC algorithm is used to estimate the azimuth and elevation angles of co-channel signals received by the MBA in the satellite and with the DOA-based constrained DBF, the pointing beam will separate and suppress these co-channel signals
