Abstract

The present paper describes the final results (and data validation) of the completed SECOMS end-to-end satellite service demonstration. The first end-to-end broadband satellite service trials at 20/30 GHz executed in Europe are described, relevant to an advanced interactive multimedia satellite system providing service on continental-wide coverage using small-sized terminals. The trial focus has been to characterise the broadband satellite links, taking into account the utilisation environment (mobile and fixed use), to validate the developed user terminal prototypes in real operating conditions and environments. Finally results are shown and described
