Abstract :
Recently, the technology of steel bars and concrete plays an important role in the development of building construction, in this paper, calculation methods of cracking moment, ultimate moment, and stiffness of the beams strengthened by steel plate are offered according to the non-linear relationship between stress and strain of concrete, the theoretical and experimental results are compared and analyzed. In addition, the proposals of checking the separating stress, anchorage length, strong shearing and weak bending are supposed so as to ensure the beams strengthened by steel plate could fail because of bending.
