  • Abstract
The resonance frequency of a patch antenna can be changed by using reactive loading. It is also possible to design an antenna with more than one resonant frequency. Multi-band antennas are important examples. A novel design for dual-band rectangular patch antenna has been proposed and implemented. It is shown that by choosing the resonant frequencies close to each other a broad band element, with a bandwidth almost three times larger than that of a single resonant patch, can be realized.
