Abstract :
This paper proposes a new joint frequency and space diversity scheme for OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing), which combines the received signals before discrete Fourier transformation (DFT). Although the conventional space diversity scheme, which combines the signals after DFT, is optimum to maximize the signal-to-noise power ratio after combining, it requires huge computational cost. The proposed diversity scheme can reduce the computational cost with small performance degradation
