  • Abstract
    The nonlinear optical properties of small nano-scale semiconductor has been a topic of interest in the recent years. Nano clusters of semiconductor materials embedded in a dielectric host material may be considered as a particular example of effective media materials or Conditional Artificial Dielectrics (CADs). In this paper we show that Si nano-clusters on quartz exhibit a strong nonlinearity at λ=355 and 532 nm
