Abstract :
A new type of common rail electromagnetic injector fuelled with dimethyl ether is developed , it has solved the problems of wear of the needle vavle which makes fuel leakage. An investigation of spraying liquid DME of the developed injector is performed on the test system platform . The experiment results are compared with the simulation results. It is concluded that: the opening response time of the developed injector reduces to 0.38 ms, the closing response time to 0.68 ms; pilot injection and the law of boot last injection are both achieved, the least amount of pilot injection is 2.08 mm3 ; there exists a turning point of characteristic of injector spraying amount, laws of injection is not sensitive to the fluctuation of back pressure.
