Abstract :
We analyze the impact of interference from device-to-device (D2D) link to cellular link on the performance of the cellular link, in the case when the D2D link shares uplink resource of the cellular link. Using the path loss model, we first derive the interference from D2D link to cellular link as a function of the ratio of the distance between the base station and D2D transmitter and the distance between the D2D transmitter and D2D receiver. Based on the derivation, the maximum transmission range of the D2D link is calculated such that the interference is limited. In order to validate the effectiveness of the maximum transmission range, we analyze the outage probability of the cellular link in a Rayleigh fading channel.
