Abstract
To verify InSAR phase unwrapping under various complicated types of topography, simulated InSAR data is not sufficient. To use real InSAR data in verification of phase unwrapping, InSAR images should be properly registered to accurate topographic maps. By using a 2-step registration, the 2-dimensional registration of SAR images can be implemented as two 1-dimensional registrations. The resultant registration can be as accurate as one pixel. After registration, topographic maps can be used to verify the InSAR phase unwrapping
