Abstract :
This paper presents the signal acquisition and tracking design and implementation for a software GPS receiver. Compared to conventional hardware GPS receivers, software GPS receivers provide flexibility and low cost for algorithms redesign. FFT parallel search is used in acquisition, DLL and Costas PLL are used for C/A code and carrier Doppler tracking. Simulation results prove that our software GPS receiver performs reliable acquisition and tracking.
