Abstract :
Multiple antenna wireless system has larger channel capacity and better ability to combat fading. The capacity can be further increased by feeding back channel state information to the transmitter and implementing antenna subset selection, especially for correlated channels. A fast and dynamic antenna subset selection algorithm is proposed in this paper, which has achieved the capacity near to the optimal selection algorithm, and avoided computing the capacity of all the antenna subset combinations. It also provides larger capacity than the static algorithms. Based on bit interleaved coded modulation (BICM) techniques, space time adaptive bit interleaved coded modulation (ST-ABICM) scheme is constructed by adapting data rate per transmit antenna. Simulation results have proved the excellent performance of the scheme
