Abstract :
In this paper, is presented the bit error performance of a hard decision based parallel interference cancellation scheme for multiuser multiple carrier systems. Due to the difference in carrier frequency offsets (CFO) of different users at the receiver in an orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) system, interference from other users occur. A hard decision based parallel interference cancellation (HDPIC) scheme is used here to reduce the effect of this interference in uplink OFDMA. CFO compensation is done in the time domain followed by DFT operations and Interference estimation and cancellation in the frequency domain. A decrease in bit error rate is shown with the application of parallel interference cancellation as compared to performance without any cancellations
