Abstract
This paper summarizes the performance of several recently developed soft switching inverters, including traditional resonant DC link inverter, actively clamped resonant DC link inverter and newly developed resonant snubber inverter. Digital simulations of the performances of these soft switching inverters have been done. From the simulation results, the parameters of the resonant circuits are analyzed. The optimal setting of the parameters for different kinds of loads are predicted and designed. Some of the inverters involving the predicted parameters have been built up and their simulation results with MathLab are presented to prove the prediction of the parameters
