            Abstract : 
This paper proposes a novel approach to the robust control design for nonlinear dynamical systems based on Takagi and Sugeno´s (1985) fuzzy systems. Only the possible bound of the uncertainty is needed. If the uncertainty is matched, a robust control scheme is proposed, which renders the fuzzy system practically stable. If the uncertainty is mismatched, we show that a mismatched threshold is needed to ensure stability. We apply the control design to a nonlinear missile autopilot problem. The effectiveness of this approach is illustrated by simulation
