Abstract :
An object oriented model for batch production processes data, designed with the unified modeling language approach, is proposed. The model can be used to handle production data and their flow by allowing the traceability of the entire product history, thus enabling the analysis of inexplicit cause-effect relations between raw materials properties and final products features. A case study concerning the winemaking production process showing the usefulness of the model when integrated in a SCADA system, is presented.
