Abstract :
This paper compares the performance of two 3.5 GHz class-F amplifiers, one uses quarter wavelength transmission line to do the harmonics manipulation, the other one uses third order harmonic peaking technique. Simulation results show that the PA with quarter wavelength transmission line does not show significant advantage, even in term of efficiency, over the simple third harmonic peaking PA, though it does has a higher output PldB.
