Abstract :
Impact of superconducting transformers on electromechanical transients in power systems is considered. Parameters change in the equivalent circuit of superconducting transformer is shown. Generalized criterion for improving dynamic stability of power systems based on superconducting transformers is nominated. Numerical example for the comparison of both conventional and superconducting transformers application is given.
