Abstract :
We present here a description of spatial solitons and their dynamical interactions which applies to phenomenological models of nonlinear material. We consider only bright solitons whose intensity decreases monotonically from its maximum value. To be stable in a bulk medium, such beams must propagate in non-Kerr like materials, e.g. nonlinearities which saturate with increasing beam intensity
