Abstract :
In feedback control system applications, sensor signals, often noisy, must be fed back to the controller under tight time constraints. Conventional de-noising methods were developed without considering delay, and are inappropriate for feedback loops. An embedded, short-delay signal de-noising system is suggested in this paper. The system is specifically designed to de-noise the position control signal for a sensorless switched reluctance motor, but can be extended to other applications. The results show that a significant noise reduction is achieved with a latency of 66 ns.
