Abstract :
This study presents two fault detection and isolation techniques for thermoforming reheat process actuators. The actuators are the top and bottom oven heating bands. The second technique presented, called generalized Kalman filter scheme, is more innovative and showed better fault isolation compared to the first technique of this study called the direct Kalman filter scheme (DKFS).
